I would like to add geniusconnect as a service on my exchange server to sync a public folder with the database on a regular basis.

However, Outlook conflicts with Exchange, and I'm not supposed to have them both running at the same time.

So, right now I am forced to have Outlook running on a workstation all the time with geniusconnect added in the scheduled tasks of that workstation. Obviously this isn't ideal.

Now, the workstation in question is an admin workstation and is always on anyway, but I would like to be able to run GCScheduler without Outlook running, or have it start outlook when it starts and close it when it's done.

I guess the ideal situation is to be able to run GCScheduler on the mail server as a service, but that would probably require MAPI, and that is what is conflicting with exchange.

Thank you for considering this idea.

Thanks,

This will be a new product, GeniusConnect is Outlook Add-in, so it depends on Outlook.

Hi - I have GC 3.0.1.1 and cannot get the Scheduler to start / stop Outlook. Is there an option somewhere to set this? Also I am looking to run two different synchronisations - one to save all Outlook items and then one to load them all after an SQL scheduled job has run on the records (rather than a Store/Load which is immediate) - is this possible?
