You should upgrade in the following scenario :
• You want to install Microsoft Office 2010 32 bits
Upgrade is recommended but not mandatory.
GeniusConnect 4th edition will still work on Office 2010 32 bits, but will not support specific Office 2010 functions and Outlook 2010 Ribbon.

• You want to install Microsoft Office 2010 64 bits
Upgrade is mandatory.
GeniusConnect 4th edition has no support for 64bits Outlook version.



GeniusConnect Edition 5 Installations:

GeniusConnect 32bits
Requirements: Microsoft Outlook 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007, 2010-32bits
Can be used on all 32 bits Outlook versions but will not support Non ASCII languages (Chinese, Japanese etc.).

GeniusConnect 32bits–Unicode
Requirements: Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, 2010-32bits
The Unicode version implements support for all languages.

GeniusConnect 64bits–Unicode
Requirements: Microsoft Outlook 2010-64bits

Edition 6

You should upgrade if you are planning to install Microsoft Outlook 2016 / 2019 / 2021 / 365 . GeniusConnect 5th edition is not compatible with Outlook 2016 and higher.

GeniusConnect 32bits
Requirements: Microsoft Outlook 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, 2021, 365 -32bits
