I am looking to use Outlook Connect with Goldmine Business Contact Manager. It uses the dBase file format to store its data.

I have setup an ODBC source and Outlook Connect gets all the way to recognising the tables. I select the table I want to view, it then freezes and crashes Outlook Connect.

I did a test using the Demo Access database and the process worked correctly.

Is Outlook Connect able to work with dBase files? If not, do you know of any simple way to get my data out of dBase on a regular basis?

Microsoft ships dBase ODBC drivers with the OS, so it is possible.

For more info please see :

Accessing dBASE ISAM files through the ODBC Desktop Database Drivers requires installation of the Borland database engine!
