mySQL database online

This may be a stupid question, but does GeniusConnect allow for connections to online databases, i.e. mySQL databases hosted online by our hosts? If so, how is this done? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it is possible, but you must open some ports on the firewall. (GeniusConnect uses direct ODBC connection)
Most firewalls are blocking direct database connection traffic. Contact your provider for details. (some providers are willing to open the ports for a specifix IP etc..)
