GeniusConnect needs administrator permission if you use the following features:

Log errors and warnings to event log (Options Tab)
No permission Error:
Can't open event log...

Copy/Import Profiles (Database tab)
No permission Error:
A required privilege is not held by the client

Solution 1:
Run Outlook.exe as Administrator.

Solution 2:
If you are a user with Admin permissions:
Turn User Account Control off:
Vista
http://windows.microsoft...urn-User-Account-Control  off
Windows 7
http://windows.microsoft...ccount-Control-on-or-off

Remark:
A Standard user (without admin permission)can not use these features.

Outlook.exe location depends on your Outlook version and installation path, default path is:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office<VERSION>\OUTLOOK.EXE

Example Outlook 2010 path:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\OUTLOOK.EXE

Example Outlook 2007 path:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\OUTLOOK.EXE

More info:
GeniusConnect is an Outlook Addon and belongs to Outlook process.

Unfortunately, no DLL Addon can control the privilege level of the process it belongs to.
You have to elevate Outlook process instead of GeniusConnect components.
