Hi,

I'm using the Windows task manager to start gcscheduler.exe each day. No it looks like it only syncs over the day. When I view the logs I get 2 different logs:

07-08-07 05:00:25: CCScheduler: Starting Outlook, cmd line:C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE /recycle
07-08-07 05:00:27: CCScheduler: Waiting for Outlook
07-08-07 05:00:52: CCScheduler: MAPI Logon
07-08-07 05:00:52: CCScheduler: Waiting for GeniusConnect
07-08-07 05:00:52: CCScheduler: MAPI Logoff
07-08-07 05:00:52: CCScheduler: Outlook quit

and... no syncing

The next day I get

08-08-07 05:00:01: CCScheduler: Starting Outlook, cmd line:C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE /recycle
08-08-07 05:00:02: CCScheduler: Waiting for Outlook
08-08-07 05:02:07: GCScheduler Error: Code = 80080005,Meaning = Serveruitvoering is mislukt,Source = (null),Description = (null)

... then I get a sync, and an additional proper log file with the entries synchronized...

... next day, the first log again, and no sync... and so on

Any idea???

By the way, the system reboots automatically 1 hour before the sync.

Regards

Stefan

No idea, I assume your system and GeniusConnect config is not changing?
Are you running always as the same user with admin permissions?
Are you changing registry settings?
These errors: 80080005,Meaning = Serveruitvoering is mislukt
are typically caused by a damaged Outlook installation, but may also be caused by:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/870655

Can you check your event log and try to findout what's happaning with the system and why Outlook fails to start.

Hello,

I've checked the event logs, and I do get indeed some warnings about resource profiles not unloading well.

The task logs in as a 'GeniusConnect' user, runs the gcscheduler, and then logs-out again...

So might indeed be a problem with the resource profiles. So traced back the Microsoft KB upto a service called USer Profile Hive Cleanup Service. Installed this on the PC...

I'll let you know in a few days if this cured the problem...[:)]
