I've downloaded the demo, which I like. It allows me to sync an Access database to a public folder in my Outlook client.

Now if I decide to buy the software, is it required that I buy the multi user version if I want to be able to continue with this process? Seems like a lot of extra money (~$900) over the business version just to sync to a public folder. I would be the only one using the software.

Yes, you need MultiUser license for MS exchange public folders.
