I have the same error message trying to acces a FIleMaker Database

GeniusConnect version: 6.0.0.6
license: Demo, but my client will buy the multi user once proven that this works and fits their needs
Outlook version, Office Standard 2016
Database: FileMaker Server 15.0.2.206

error text: Receiving "Out of memory" error while sting up database. (Asssign table). ODBC connection works fine via the ODBC box (Tried to connect and setup both 32 and 64 buts ODBC, which works fine).

NOTE:
I have developed under 6.0.0.4 (32 bits) and was working quite nicely in my test environment (throught 32 bits ODBC). However, users uses 64 bits Outlook. Can't connect to it throught the 64 bits ODBC.

Hello,

When using 64 bits Outlook/GeniusConnect you must use 64 bits ODBC driver. What is your ODBC driver version?

Hello, I was searching web for "FileMaker ODBC out of memory", and it looks like many people have similar problems with FileMaker ODBC drivers.

I'm almost sure this problem is related to FileMaker and not to GeniusConnect.

Can we plan a remote session ?

Please see GeniusConnect 6.0.0.7 or higher with FileMaker workarounds:
https://www.geniusconnec...geniusconnect-downloads/

Workaround for FileMaker:
FileMaker ODBC driver returns incorrect values for SQL_COLUMN_DISPLAY_SIZE and column Precision. This bug leads to "Out of Memory" errors, mainly in 64bit FileMaker ODBC driver. We are unable to detect column sizes in FileMaker tables until FileMaker fixes these bugs.
As workaround GeniusConnect will use buffer length of 128 chars. You can change this value in registry (start regedit):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Genius@Work>GeniusConnect>Settings >AdminOptions
Key: DefaultDBVarcharLength
type: DWORD
Default value: 128 (decimal) buffer length
